I got this recipe from The Healthy Chef site and just changed a few of the ingredients. They are sooo tasty and make the perfect lunchbox treat for the kids. The original recipe is here and they are called ‘Lemon Yoghurt Cupcakes’. If you haven’t been to this site before, check it out as there are a lot of great recipes and I am also a big fan of her protein powder.

Green Tea Infused Banana Pudding

pudI was inspired to make this after having the matcha (green tea powder) pudding at an amazing Japanese restaurant called Ume in Surry Hills, which I went to with my parents. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any matcha powder at home so I used infused almond milk with green tea instead. This recipe should also work with 1-2 teaspoons of matcha powder instead of using the green tea leaves. I also added a tablespoon of the green tea leaves into the blender when mixing the pudding, but you can leave this out if you don’t like the texture of the leaves.

For those of you that have known me for a few years you will know how obsessed I used to be with the modelling world. I even had my heart set on becoming a modelling agent until I decided to instead pursue a career in Health and Wellness. So you can imagine my excitement when I came across Valentina Zelyaeva’s health blog, which then grew 1000 times when she agreed to be interviewed for my blog!

Valentina has always been one of my favourite models. She is the face of Ralph Lauren and has been on multiple magazine covers. I love that she is such a great role model and advocate when it comes to healthy living. Check out her blog for some of her great juice and smoothie recipes and photos of her travels. Firstly, though, I’ll let Valentina share more about her self and some of her health tips…

How did you get into modelling and what is one of your favourite things about Continue reading

Guest Post: Banana Bread Bites

Here is another delicious, easy recipe by my friend Maddy that she has been kind enough to share. For more of Maddy’s recipes, head over to RecipeYum.

Banana Bread Bites
This recipe is finger licking good and is incredibly simple to make. It has only four ingredients and involves no cooking, just 4 hours in the fridge to allow the ‘bites’ to set.

Containing only natural sugars, these bites are a yummy, healthier snack for when you need a sugar hit. They also make a great dessert or finger food at a party. Continue reading

Raw Zucchini, Basil, Avocado Pesto Tarts

pesto

I found the inspiration for this recipe on my new favourite recipe site Tales of a Kitchen and have just tweaked it a bit using the ingredients I had at home. As I made these for my graduation party, I doubled the ingredients to make 12 tarts.

I found the raw garlic is quite strong, so if you are not a fan of garlic leave it out. You can find the original recipe here. Continue reading
